The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it truly is alarmed concerning the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office committed to status sassa service the area on a regular basis. The provider stage created for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to permit the servicing of all clients and increase use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
