The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.
SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed concerning the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The services stage produced for intervention experiences a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to enable the servicing of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
